One can only dream.

What does a woman dream of? I’d say my dreams are just as cliche as all other women’s. I want a nice big house where my two kids can run freely; I want a big safe car so the whole family can go on road trips; I want a man who can drive us, who’s healthy and can take care of us.

This is what I have: a small old apartment rental where I’m not allowed to do any design or decoration; no car, and given COVID-19 these days, no public transits either; a husband who can’t drive and passes out on the couch every day at 4pm after work.

The pain it causes me is so numbing that I don’t really cry about it anymore. I can only keep dreaming and fulfilling my kids’ mentality before they notice the deficiencies in our family.
